This is like, the reverse T&A shot in that he looks unnaturally and uncomfortably posed and proportioned to HIDE everything and instead of oddly large and curvy things are oddly small and flat. I say that as a man who has no butt himself, but it's like his right cheek has been removed.

Well, for one thing, Westchester's on the other side of the country from Utopia, and the Avengers want to get after Hope ASAP.

I have a feeling this is going to get very awkward for X-23. Hopefully Surge won't get on her case AGAIN. Especially as she had no clue any of this was happening till they just arrived.

They could be there in minutes in the helicarrier or a quinjet. This stinks of trust issues.

Laura will probably get the worst of it, but it'll be awkward for a lot of people (including didn't-keep-his-promise-AGAIN Pietro). This action kinda negates what they just told the Runaways about letting kids decide things for themselves.

I'm not sure how fast the Quinjet actually travels, but that seems like an exaggeration, surely. Consider that we're dealing with the Phoenix host, here. I imagine that every second counts. And yeah, they might not entirely trust the Jean Grey School. Because, you know, conflict of interest.

And if Surge starts hassling Laura again, she may want to consider that she got on her case for her participation in x-Force, yet when the Schism came down, she joined team Cyclops. The guy who set up the kill team. And who wants the kids to be soldiers. It strikes me as being a teensy bit hypocritical-at least Laura is trying to find her own identity, independent of X-Force and the X-Men.

But that's kind of outside the remit of current events. But when it comes to this storyline, Keeping the X-kids at Avengers Academy doesn't actually conflict too much with the last arc. I imagine that once the whole AvX thing blows over, they'll let them go to Westchester or wherever. But they don't want them interfering with the actual 'stop phoenix' mission if they can help it.

But then this whole Avengers vs. X-Men thing is little more than 'Let's you and him fight' writ large, so I could be wrong.

Well, since most of those X-kids there said no to Logan's offer, I guess he and the others felt putting them in the Jean Grey school would make things worse--while the Academy are still technically Avengers, it does seem to be more neutral ground.

Technically they should be sent to a safe relative. If the Avengers don't think JGS qualifies, what does that say about their opinion of JGS?

If Captain America had a good opinion of the Jean Grey School, he probably wouldn't be punching its headmaster in the face.

Actually he's reminding one of the people who is supposed to be following his lead who exactly is the Alpha Dog here. Wolverine's actions put the mission at risk when he didn't follow orders, and Cap needs to whip him back into the fold in the only language Logan knows intimately.

It could very well be that Cap is thinking "We have to find Hope, so let's just leave the X-kids somewhere nearby where they will be safe. And there's the outside chance Phoenix is going to destroy the Earth, so what does it really matter?"

Given how some of these crossover events works, the X-kids will be at Avengers Academy for only a few hours. Things like Secret Invasion, Siege and Fear Itself all took place over the course of a day (if not less).

Avenger's Academy is closer, and at the X-School they may have the chance to jump to battlefield locations and screw things up some more.

I'm pretty sure that they don't trust them for the duration of this crisis. Because they're mutants, and this concerns mutants. Also, the kids are friends with the ones from Utopia. That's pretty much the definition of 'conflict of interest' right there. I imagine that if it was any other situation, they'd trust them just fine.

I have known a number of men that hairy on upper arms. Though not *known* them because I am not into that. Though I also am sympathetic to guys who dislike of manscaping as it is a massive pain. Even plucking eyebrows and shaving is a pain at times and if I would not end up looking like a mad redneck werewolf I would quit.

He doesn't really have a good excuse though, as there are a bazillion different angles of that famous Greek discus thrower statue available with a quick Google search, and there are also lots of Olympic photos of modern track & field athletes who aren't missing large portions of their anatomy.

Well, yeah. I suggested a reason he did it wrong, but I don't think it's an excuse either. He should have looked up photos of athletes or statues of ancient athletes, but it looks like either he didn't bother or he purposely didn't draw the ass right so the speech bubble wouldn't have to be made to cover as much space (and I'm not entirely convinced that the rest of him is entirely correct either).
