For what it's worth, I agree with you about Scott. *high fives*

It's sadly been years since I've really enjoyed reading his character in anything.

He used to be alright, although I thought it was a dick move when he left Maddie and his son to go be with Jean back in the 80s. But at least then and in the 90s he was tolerable.

Now he's just an asshole.

he didn't go to be with Jean, he went to go visit Jean, Maddie threatened him and by the time he did get back they were gone

Of course Maddie threatened him...she was feeling massively insecure. She had already figured out that he was only with her because she looked like Jean and that Jean was the love of his life and he still carried a torch for her. And for months before Scott had barely been around...he wasn't even there for the birth of their son.

Faced with that, any woman would feel insecure and when hearing that said love interest whom her husband is still carrying a torch for is back...well of course she wouldn't want him to go see her. So she lashed out due to fear and that insecurity. Wrong thing to do? Perhaps. But Scott should have been more sensitive to her feelings, especially in light of recent happenings within their marriage.

So it was still a dick move.
