Given the Utopia kids already chose to take a more proactive stance than Logan's bunch (on paper, at least, given we're going to see very, very little of the Utopia students given no book focuses on them), I can imagine that the concern may be that the Utopia set would be more willing to put themselves between the X-Men and the Avengers, which is something no-one wants.
