Well, I used the quotes because neither really seems to know what to make of their situation. Hope has commented on how weird the family dynamic is. Plus, they definitely don't have a typical grandfather-granddaughter relationship. I always refer to them as that, but I have gotten, let's say, criticized a few times for doing so.

	That reminds me, I know Cable's the father who raised her, but is he her biological father or did the Phoenix just pick her as a new host because she's a redhead hanging around the X-Men and it figured "close enough"? 	Her bio dad is unknown. I think it's less that the Phoenix picked her because she was a redhead hanging out with the X-Men, and more that because the Phoenix picked her (and, you know, possibly made her happen) she ended up hanging with the X-Men. (Reply to this) (Thread from start) (Parent)
