Posted because I thought that the character redesign was interesting, though he does look like he should be battling some dude in a loincloth with a big sword/woman in chainmail underwear.

This Justice League Dark isn't nearly dark enough. The regular frowny DCnU Justice League is darker than this. Make it darker. Make it more darker until it can go none more dark.

Still might be more enjoyable that a lot of the current books.

And he looks young! Or have they stopped him aging realistically now he's back in the main DC universe? That'd be a shame.

My understanding is that he's still ageing away in Hellblazer, but the main DCU version is a perma-younger John.

looks like Felix got an upgrade. I rarely see him but he's usually used well. Hands down favorite moment was him and Ralph Dibny journey to the afterlife. Speaking of, any word on Ralph in the DCNU?

It is still my fondest wish for a series involving both the Dibneys as crime-solving ghosts, done in a retro style. The Dibney Mysteries has a certain ring to it, don't you think?

It'd be sort of Topper meets The Thin Man.

Given DC have erased a whole bunch of stuff, they could frankly get RID of the deaths of those two characters and just have them as an awesome crime-solving couple.

I agree, I just think having them as a pair of carefree ghosts would be a fun twist to a mystery series concept.

I doubt DC would go for it, sadly.

Oh no, despite the chance to have a completely fresh start, they still seem intent on clinging to old bits of continuity like a toddler to their mother's leg. The Killing Joke is, as I keep on citing, a prime example. Who the fuck needs it?

Who is this guy who claims to be John Constantine but sounds absolutely nothing like him? I mean, he just doesn't sound like Constantine's heavily-accented speech at all.

I would expect his dialogue to be more like "Well, 's a good thing I brought some of me pals then, innit?" His speech here is too posh, IMHO.

When Faust says, "What the hell are YOU doing here?" I suddenly remembered the animated series, Duckman. He had a catchphrase of "What the hell are YOU staring at?" which is almost the exact same style of phrase used here.

Then I couldn't NOT read all of Faust's dialogue as Jason Alexander. And it still fits.
