This is not going to end well...and as much as I love the cubs this story has done nothing for me. "Fairest" actually seems like a more interesting book.

I still don't know what it is about the Fables-verse and Dorothy. First they made her as a joke in the Jack Frost books (along with the Ozites), then they said she came to her "real self" which was apparently a cold-hearted assassin (who refused to take part in the Fables "compact") who abandoned her friends and was the arch foe of Cinderella (who is of course a hero), and now her name is a by-word for "squandered opportunities" by stuffed animals? Seriously, has Willingham ever read the entire Oz canon? Dorothy was pretty much universally loved by the Ozites, was Ozma's BFF and heir and defeated the Nome King (several times!). Wouldn't that Dorothy be an interesting character?

I looked at the panels, I looked at them twice. Yet all I can think about is that I have a stuffed animal in a box in my attic that looks EXACTLY like Mr. Wellstuffed....

Reminds of Morrison's Joe the Barbarian mini. Who is the best offense for a young child entering Toyland? Why, their favorite action figures, of course.

Seriously, woe betide the enemy forces who stand against my armies of robot/animal shapeshifters, paranormal exterminators, underaged genetically-abnormal martial artists and frankenstein mix-and-match undead soldiers of fortune (my brother and I may have been a little bit of Sid from Toy Story what with popping off the limbs and heads of Joes, rearranging them, and burying them in graves after fighting).
