R.I.P. Ray Bradbury
Jun. 6th, 2012 08:18 amAs some of you may know, and others of you may Not, Ray Bradbury has died. Author of the Martian Chronicles, Fahrenheit 451, Something Wicked this Way Comes (my personal favorite) and countless other stories, short stories, plays, and screen plays...
I wanted to do tribute to him on here and low and behold not only did i find something scan worthy and legal, but it was also something from one of my favorite Bradbury stories.
Apparently last year there was a graphic novel adaptation of Ray Bradbury's "Something Wicked This Way Comes" (My FAVORITE Bradbury story! So i am of course just orded it off the publisher's site)with art by Ron Wimberly who did art of DC/Vertigo's Swamp Thing a while back.
well without further ado, here are a few panels/pages from Ray Bradbury's "Something Wicked This Way Comes: The Authorized Adapation".

R.I.P Ray Bradbury, you will be missed.
Because
arilou_skiff suggested it, as the title suggests, the video is NSFW (FYI: this is how books make me feel:)
Edit: Thanks for the In Memoriam tag who ever put it up, didn't even know we had one :D

Date: 2012-06-06 04:05 pm (UTC)The movie version wasn't perhaps as amazing as it could have been (Could it ever have been in the world of 1983 I wonder), but Jonathan Pryce as Mr Dark wasn't half bad.
And yes, Nightshade is a great surname, and "Nightshade and Dark" WOULD be a fantastic name for a carnival

At least the part of them that is distilled into stories and poems lives on after them. Let them all live and write nine decades at least, and transport us to other worlds.
