I can sort of see this as an interesting plot, but something about how it's presented just doesn't feel right to me, not sure why.

Plus, I still just have an issue that - and I don't care how trained he is - Bruce is letting a 10 year old endanger his life on a regular basis. I work in adoption, I work with 10 year olds. In even comic universe Wonder Woman or ANY OTHER SUPERHERO should have put a stop to this.
Since he is there in the comics as a total arrogant badass though where he can fend for himself? Yes. Beating.

Pretty sure thinking about killing someone and actually killing them is pretty different since, you know, in one of those situations the person is still alive.

Date: 2012-06-15 12:53 am (UTC)It's kind of sad that Damian is so concerned with being the best and proving himself that he's missing the most obvious way to do it. The way Tim did, making Robin his own thing with his own strengths and earning Bruce's respect that way.
It does feel a bit like they're shoving the Jason-Damian similarities at us rather hard though. To the point where I feel like Bruce is trying to make up for his failures with Jason through Damian. Could make for an interesting confrontation between the two though.
And I really need an icon of Jason facepalming.
