Funny story. During a certain couple of series Marina Sirtis put on a little weight and the producers had her wear a corset-like support garment. It suppressed her tummy but lifted her bust. May or may not have been painful also. That's showbiz, ain't it.

Having been rewatching The Three Doctors recently, I think Picards reaction to the TARDIS is based on the Brigadier's in that story.
