Previously, in ACTION COMICS...

That was all the way back in issue 6, when the time-traveling Legion of Superheroes paid a visit. Whatever were they talking about? In the latest two issues of ACTION, we've begun getting answers...

Ah, good ole' high-concept Morrison intrigue with basis on comics from the '30s, how I love you so. :'D

Yes. Yes, you do. In these two issues you also get to see some fun interactions between Superman, the Justice League, and Batman, and you get to see "John Clark" in a firefighter outfit. :D

" Imagine if everyone had the same name ever all at the same time.. what would it sound like backwards? "

I suspect the Little Man'd be awfully put out, for one.

Isn't the "born a thousand years early," origin already used by another hero? I forget his name but he was in the mini series Mystery in Space.

Captain Comet, an awesome character first appearing in Strange Adventures in 1951, one of the few superheroes to be introduced by DC during that period. I always thought if he'd come along just a few years later alongside Hal Jordan and Barry Allen, Captain Comet could have been big.

We're certainly meant to think this is that guy. Or at least his "new 52 Earth" counterpart.

Yeah, it seems like Morrison's combining Captain Comet with the more anti-hero psychic Superman that Siegel and Schuster created before they settled on the caped strongman that eventually became an icon.

Of course it is Captain Comet. -predates Supes - name Adam (Blake) - telepathic - was in space - ship called the Cometeer. I hope they flashback to some of his space adventures.

I see that Clark found a place for the gerbils he was talking about in JLA. :)
