Either way, their funerals will be interesting, as a fan of Scott (he's less of a dick than Wolverine, who's far closer to being 'Magneto' than he is) I'd like to see who turns up to the funeral.

I mean, remember in Wolverine and the X-men, the dart board with Scott's face on it? Imagine having that on your wall, and then that person dying a couple weeks later... awkward, and a little mean in hindsight hahaha... little things like that would be nice to see.

I've been saying for a while that if Marvel did something easier to jump in on, like the DCnU, I'd start buying Marvel books but... most of these aren't looking super enticing to me. FF looks potentially fun, and so does (unsurprisingly) Deadpool but nothing else here is screaming my name.

(Well, okay, maybe SCIENCE BROS. They should make a book that's just that. Maybe a mini. Four to six issues of nothing but Bruce and Tony doing science and having sleepovers? I'd read it.)

Marvel also has recap pages, which makes them ten times better than DC as far as I'm concerned as a new-ish reader for making it easier to jump in. YMMV.

Also, I have to say, some of these teams really seem like they were names drawn out of a hat.

Also, wasn't the point of Avengers Assemble to give people the movie line up as a team? Seems kind of redundant now, looking at that cover.

Fraction's reasons:

Scott Lang was chosen by Richards due to his scientific acumen and the recent loss of his daughter Cassie. Medusa was chosen by Sue because of her family sense while also being a hero linked to the team. She-Hulk is a former member, and was Ben's pick. As for Miss Thing, Johnny's pick was the girl he was with the night before leaving on the trip. "She's the regular person, she's the human, she's the overwhelmed 'Whaaa?' of it all," said Fraction.

Hey look, Uncanny Avengers has some of my favorite characters of all time! And also Wolverine! I'd really like to see how the team dynamic goes there, though I hope Havok's headgear looks less bad in the comic itself.

Is that Rachel on the second All New X-men cover? I tend to assume any woman with short red hair is her, though I'm not sure if that hair is red. What happened to the death coat, I liked that. Though she does look good in civies...


FF looks like the most enjoyable book out of all of these, and is now the book I'm looking forward to the most. It has my favorite Ant-Man, my favorite Hulk, doesn't look like it takes itself too seriously. Should be fun.

I don't really see the point of A+X when they are also doing Uncanny Avengers. And yes, please let Storm lead in All New X-Men. I don't know why, but it would annoy the hell out of me if the O5 were leading the team.

A+X is one of those anthology of short stories by a variety of authors miniseries. Uncanny X-Men is an on going title with a specific team.

i'm still not at all happy that the Avengers are NOW concerned about the mutants....

I don't know, the Avengers have never cared what species their members are. Which is what I have loved about them, they don't care what colour skin, species, gender or other mute social issues. The fact that they have worked with several mutants members would help bridge some of the gap. And really that is actually seeing Xavier's dream done a lot better then how the X-Men handle it.

Beside the Avengers, like every other team, their mission is saving: the Earth and everyone on it.

I can see what you are saying, but really there isn't too much that they can do without attending conferences, rallies and politics side of things. By doing that means they aren't focused on the other things. Besides no gives the Fantastic Four or Defenders (when they are around) a hard time about it. And really prejudice is a hard thing to kill unfortunately, but by showing that they can work with mutant members would present a clear enough message to your normal thinking person.
