Yeah, I'm with zablic. Why would these characters even team up? They've got nothing to do with each other.

"Would you like a job" will bring strangers together pretty fast

They're all ladies on the darker end of morality, or at least pretty conflicted, I could go for it.

Even Reyes? (I'm not too familiar with her character, thought she was the run of the mill good guy)

Well she's never been a baddie it's true, but she was always troubled about mutancy = heroics and she was an off-the-record doctor, so I can see her fitting uncomfortably on the edge on a team of murderfaces.

nah, if mutancy was barely enough reason to help people in a different way then merc work would be to far out.

I think even if you think of it like that then it doesn't work, since they have more in common than not, especially if you add X-23. Personally, when I think of the "Lady Liberators," I think of the team I saw during PAD's brief run on She-Hulk, which had more of a diverse group.

I haven't minded it, quite like some aspects, will complain forever about the wardrobe issues.

But it looks like they're getting a new artist as of the next arc anyway.

Same. It would have been amazing in theory (and splash pages) but their dynamic probably wouldn't be all that compelling.

Stick Laura with other teenagers any day, I'd love it (so long as she isn't brushed aside as just a surly Wolverine clone).

Yea. This team seems like, Girl X-Force.

Which reminds me, I just picked up Venom: Circle of Four since it had Laura. Didn't like it since she was just surly clone in it.

Liu writes Widow and X-23 rather well, so I'm pretty sadface over this.

That said, what would be the elevator pitch? Not seeing that at bleedingcool or here. Also, why Elektra? She's usually a solo act.

Dude! Yes! Awww....

I would have read this. First of all, I like all those characters. Second of all, I absolutely love the obscure reference to Avengers #83: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lady_Liberators

I love that issue. It features Roy and Jeanie Thomas as characters within the issue. It's really a hoot.

I'm wondering how the initial pitch explained how any of them could be in the same room as Mystique without trying to beat her into submission (at a minimum).

That lineup brings a certain song to mind. "One of these things is not like the others, one of these things just doesn't belong..."

Of course, the right hands could make that very interesting indeed.

Lost all interest with the suggestion of adding Mystique to the line-up. Yes, she is a complex, multifaceted, occasionally sympathetic and intriguing villain...but she is a freaking villain. Let her be the bad-guy of the book, sure, that would be neat. But I really am sick to death of villains who have not gone through a heavy-duty redemption arc being shoehorned onto teams with the protagonists.

A decent antagonist is as important to the story as a likable hero. Stop trying to put the bad guys on the same side as the good guys and let them do their freaking jobs.

Minor quibble: Laura isn't a soldier, although her clone-dad can be called that (really, Logan has had just about every job description except phone tech support and, of course, professor of art); she was assassinating before she hit puberty.
