I was randomly watching some E3 2009 videos and saw this quick shot of the upcoming DCU Online game in the Sony Press conference vid. I thought people here might be interested.

My apologies if this is common knowledge among Cass fans already. I haven't been keeping up with the Casstoons lately (if there's a Casstoons about it, someone link me up!). I thought it was interesting considering the debate in fandom going on now about who should be wearing the batgirl suit and why. I'm also just plain excited about DCU Online even if it doesn't have a release date yet (ooo we could have a scans daily guild when it does! lol).

you mean crotch shading? It's not her crotch shading that concerns me but that of her thigh muscles. The shadows there blend up into her crotch, making her bodie below her belt look weird. :|

Wiki Says Brainiac 5 is in this and no other legionnaires, which is suspiscious and of course its wiki so I'm not taking it as gospel. Anyone got a video or screencap of where they got that from?

heh.. a S/D guild isn't a bad idea. Looks like it's due to be released sometime in late 2009/early 2010. Being developed by Sony though, that's a good thing and a bad thing. That development house knows more about MMO's than anyone, Blizzard included. Problem is, there's so many people involved with it that problems sometimes fall on deaf ears. As a long-time EQ player, I've seen both the good and the bad. I'd be willing to give them a chance with it. Here's some links if folks want to look into it deeper.

Yay for Cass!

But can someone explain to me just what the heck DCU Online is? Is it a game? And RPG? (Note: I am not a gamer. I never really graduated past SuperNintendo.)

It's a Multiplayer Online Role playing game for PS3 and PC where you create your own superhero (or villian) and fight along side DC characters in the DC Universe. Its been shown that it has TONS of characters, even more obscure ones. If you've heard of City of Heroes, it's like a more advanced version of that set in the DC universe. So far, the powers look pretty sweet too.

It's supposed to be out this Christmas season or early 2010.

I think it would be kinda cool if Cass was a quest-giver or trainer. Mostly 'cause I'm imagining Cass with a big golden ! over her head and it's making me laugh.

I saw the game in February and got to test it (Yay Comic Con). It looked really rigid and unplayable. I'm sure that in the months that passed, this has changed. It does have potential! More potential than Champions, if you ask me.

Personally, I love the fact that you do get to interact with the DC world. Lets just hope that it lives up to the hype and is worth it.
