Charles Schulz wrote of him: ‘The kind of ideas that he works with are some of the most difficult, and I am amazed at their variety and depth. Also, he knows how to draw, and draw in a funny way. I think he is a giant.’ A great compliment from one giant to another.

That's my favourite cartoon, the little rebel being admonished by his square-loving parents for drawing circles.

I'm sorry but a Quino post without Mafalda just seems wrong somehow. Specially because I vaguely remember a volume which had a silent strip or two.

He is still one of the very best in the world of social and political commentary and I love each and every one of the careful details in those panels.
