Peter Tomasi has an interview with some preview images of Batman and Robin #15 up at Newsarama



Apparently Bruce wants Damian to stay out of the line of fire for this event (Yeah, like THAT has ever worked with any Robin... EVER) and so he consults the only confidante he has..

It's interesting that Damian mentions that the others were yelling at Bruce about what happened to Alfred, and he's the only one who defended him. Of course, it's probably not as cut and dry as Damian would think it is, but it does make me think that it's more likely that, if the Family should "die," it's not going to be from some literally dying, it's going to come from the breaking of trust.

Again, I find Damian's pretty much completely ignoring his relationship with Dick to be depressing; If Dick disagreed with Bruce, he'd perhaps be the only one whose reaction would make Damian doubt his own decision.

Agreed on the "Ah but I DID destroy you're family because I've killed your family by destroying your trust for each other" being quite likely, but I REALLY hope we're wrong as it would be a terribly weak cop-out ending that has been done before (Heck, even the 1960's cartoon had a similar plot (Writ somewhat smaller because there was only one Robin at that time)

I don't know, I can understand that, even if the two had the time they had as Batman & Robin, Damian would side with Bruce, because it's his FATHER. This is a man that he's been raised to idolize. Even when he's having problems dealing with his father, it has to do with that idolization not fitting with what's happening in reality.

And they've done that, how many times before? Oh noes, the Bat-Family had a major falling out and nobody trusts Bruce! Wow, it must be Tuesday.

I don't even know as it'd be a matter of not trusting Bruce, more than the Joker seems to have all the dirt on them thanks to Gordon? Something about that book, I think?

If it's well done enough where everyone has reason to distrust one another in the Bat-Family, then it could be worthwhile, because them just not trusting Bruce is one thing, them not being able to trust each other entirely in varying combinations is quite different.

Most of them don't entirely trust each other anyway, Damian barely tolerates anyone who isn't Bruce or Dick, Jason hates Dick, Tim loathes Damian, only Tim even comes close to trusting Jason. And we've hardly seen Barbara interact with anyone other than Dick in the DCnU and the most recent one was hardly a walk in the park.

So what difference will THIS really make?

It's evident that Snyder is basically working with the Joker/Batman relationship - so to speak - like it's something that's been going on for years - because otherwise the notion that the Joker knows 'everything' wouldn't be quite so important. So clearly the story is meant to have more impact in that context, only it doesn't quite work because of the reboot. Otherwise it'd clearly have more stuff going for it.

It might be fun if the stuff the Joker knows is all pre-Flashpoint and he doesn't know the DCnU setup at all! ;)

Either that or he just gets confused full-stop;

Naturally, I hate that plot as much as the next person, but a Joker with some kind of confused omniscience would be hilarious.

We did see Barbara briefly encounter Jason during Night of the Owls, and apparently when TT and Red Hood cross-over, Barbara is involved, so we'll see her relationship with Tim there.

No, Joker says clearly that he's gotten all of Bruce's secrets in that book in #14.

But I thought the book was meant to be Gordon's, given how Bruce yells that he's lying when Joker tries to implicate him? Or I might just be misremembering things.

Nope, I just reread it to make sure.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh.

So the Joker's meant to have put together the book himself. Right. That's an especially creepy concept, the idea that he could have been in the cave without Bruce or anyone knowing, somehow.

Who is titus, and why isn't he replaced by bat cow? In fact, why don't more comics in general have bat cow?

Titus is the Damian's pet dog that Bruce bought for him.

Batcow is under exclusive contract to Batman Incorporated (And the various Art Baltazar/Franco comics)

So, when was the last time Colin appeared again? Does he even exist in the DCnu?

IIRC The only place he's been seen since the reboot is Dustin Nguyen's Thanksgiving "Li'l Gotham" special.
