The hero and villain would rarely have an "Awwww!" scene. And yet, in DAREDEVIL #300...

The Kingpin has one of Matt Murdock's old billy clubs, which has Matt's fingerprints and the blood of an murder victim. The Kingpin saved it for a "rainy day." Daredevil used it as a ploy to reveal what a monster the Kingpin really is. After a massive and destructive fight around Grand Central Station (with the Kingpin throwing the first punch), it ends up nearby.

Maybe not as sweet and sentimental and other scenes, yet...

Maybe not a sweet and sentimental scene, but damn...it's emotional nonetheless, especially that last page. It's making me feel sympathy/pity for Kingpin, at any rate.

I wasn't nuts about this story when I read it, mostly because it suffered by being a bit of a re-hash of "Born Again." But I like the art in these pages. It's not always easy for me to visualize how Daredevil would physically fight Kingpin, but Weeks gives it cool visceral feel here; I feel like he does a good job representing the contrast between Daredevil's skill and speed and Fisk's immovable strength.

Of course, Ultimate Peter Parker was the one who discovered the *best* way to fight the Kingpin: with a handwritten list of fat jokes.

I want to apologize. I've just been noticing some really odd random links in the S/D comm the last couple days. I've seen them now on the words "hellboy" and "now". It just happend that on that post, it was "fat jokes". It caught me off-guard, and was before I noticed what was happening. I called you on something you didn't actually do. Has anyone else been seeing this crop up?

*edit* Deleted my original post.

I'm not certain, but I think that may be the sign of some sort of malware and/or virus on your computer. I'd do some scanning if I were you.

Hah, I was wondering what was going on there. I thought maybe somebody else had made a comment and then deleted it.

I haven't run into that here, but it is something I've seen in the past. It may be spyware on your computer.

Yeah, that was my next thought, too. Whatever it is, it's subtle. Trendmicro didn't locate anything. So far it looks like just an advert thing, and it pops up JUST enough to make you think "WTH..."

Yeah.. the word TrendMicro in my own post is hyperlinking, and I know I didn't do that. :p What they all seem to have in common is "Giant Savings" and smarter.com.

Lee Weeks was vastly underrated.....love his stuff.

The "I forgive you" line in the last episode of Dr.Who's third season with The Master seemed familiar to me at the time.....I see why now! thx
