I waited far too long to post his preview, but here, Hawkeye celebrates Christmas the old fashioned way: By getting Concussions on his concussions, pretending he’s a character in a side scrolling beat-em-up game, and avoiding getting the finale of Cop Dogs being spoilt.

Previews from here: http://uk.ign.com/articles/2012/11/30/hawkeye-6-preview

I’m looking forward to this issue, for a variety of reasons. One, because this book is the single best comic out right now. Two, because Aja and Fraction have proven they’re made of win when together. Three, is a Christmas special, and I love me a good Christmas Special. And lastly, as hinted at here: http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=40623, its likely going to feature Mockingbird and Spider-Woman. Which, you know, is just awesome. Bobbi, Jess, Clint, and Kate, celebrating Christmas together. What could possibly go wrong, with the exception of everything?

I like how Wolverine is just unabashedly snikting that guy in the junk. "AIM bastards! This Macy's was practically a historic landmark! I bought my first Gillette razor here!" And then the SHIELD guy telling them to stop their insipid, faux-populist rhetoric.

And I'm still not tired of superheroes talking about banal things like TV. Nope, still finding that fun, haters :)

Oh my god. The preview strip is a screenshot of an arcade game.

Oh my god my long lost childhood.

T_______T

Why haven't I bought this yet. (Aside from lack of money.)

That's pretty cold of Wolverine and Spidey to just leaving Clint laying there, poor guy's a regular human, he can't just shrug off that kinda injury.
I really like that Hawkeye is wearing a long sleeved version of his costume.
Is that Tony Stark in the preview? Whenever I seem a goateed dude in a suit I assume it's Tony.
And it's a treat to see David Aja draw Wolvie and Spidey.

I only realized when I actually typed it, and then I found it too amusing to bother changing before posting.

Yeah, I'm positive that it's Tony there, getting upset about Clint cutting a wire in an effort to untangle his decorative light strings.

The real question is, is this a tribute to Game Art's Captain America and the Avengers arcade game or Sega's Spider-Man arcade game. After all, Clint was in both.

I'd say the Spider-Man game: Spidey and Hawkeye's poses are direct lifts.

Why has that game not come out on someone's Virtual Console? It was an underrated, sadly-overlooked beat-em-up.

If I had to guess, I'd say licensing issues. I believe that was a Konami joint, and Activision currently holds most of the Marvel licenses.

They don't have the rights. And Sammy, who owns Sega, isn't willing to pay even the one time license for re-release.

Get a shorter attack animation, Clint. For your health.

Awww, #6 comes out this Wednesday?! So much for not taking another trip to the comic shop before leaving for Christmas...

I'm usually not a fan of Fraction's, but this? Man, sheer delight. Aja channeling Machuzelli is definitely helping the love.

When that S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent tells the AIM Agent to shut up, I couldn't help but think, "When did Napoleon Dynamite join S.H.I.E.L.D.?"

Just you and Dog Cops through the new year? That's not sad at all. Get some friends, Clint.

Yes.
"SPOILERS, SPOILERS!"
OMFG and once more, Matt Fraction makes Hawkeye a real human being. ;_;

I love this. Guh. LOVE IT.
