H'EL takes her to the now vacated Fortress. We see Superman and Superboy on the outside unable to re-enter.

H'el shrinks Kara down and transports her to Kandor. H'el uses an "astral projection" to show Kara what he used to look like, but he only does this when she is still in Kandor.

I can't say I really care for this story, or for this version of Supergirl, but it is kind of neat that Supergirl is playing the role the black sheep of the Superman family in this incarnation. It's at least different from her usual happy go lucky characterization, though I wouldn't go so far as calling this better, or even more interesting, just kind of novel.
Anyway, I always find Krypton-based stories boring, I have very little interest in the place. Personally as soon as they've got Kal-El in the rocket and gone I think Krypon has done all it needs to storywise, though I can certainly understand the desire to revisit it, I just think it's unnecessary.

It's not entirely novel. The Loeb/Turner Supergirl pre-reboot was for the most part of her series run obnoxious and violent. Sterling Gates eventually retconned reasons for all of this (kryptonite poisoning or such) and made her likable but for the early part of the last Supergirl series DC seemed to make an explicit Editorial decision to make her a "bad girl" (as if that's what readers who waited decades to see Kara Zor-El again in the DCU wanted to read). By comparison the new 52 Supergirl is nicer and more understandable.

Hmmm I liked supergirl when it started... but I'm not liking her being so easily manipulated.... I mean I understand how and why it is happening. But I am just hoping she becomes part of the family shortly

Jokes aside, it's believable characterization for this version of Supergirl. I love kryptonian stuff when they get it "right" -- and that's my problem with H'El being treated mostly as a walking plot device / deus ex machina.
