I feel that this was the first issue that really showed who Negan is and I've warmed up to him a little bit. He's a sick fuck but he's actually pretty funny at times.

So Negan has Carl with him (after a failed assassination attempt on Carl's part) and orders him to take off his eyepatch.





Later on Negan demonstrates to Carl what happens if you breaks his rules; in this case, he has women who have sex with him in exchange for free stuff (as opposed to using the barter system). They aren't allowed, however, to "cheat" on him. In this case, the guy she sleeps with is punished in front of everyone.

How did Carl lose his right eye? I read this series off and on.

Basically zombies attacked the village they were staying at and the leader was shooting wildly at them and a bullet struck Carl.

Ouch. Poor kid.

He pretty strong to not be majority traumatized by that experience. But given the situration of him living in a Zombie Apocalypse,there not much to not be subject to psychological trauma everyday.

I really can't wait for him to get what's coming to him.

But how many supporting (and primary) characters have to die before that happens?

Probably 3. Yeah, most likely 3, that's a solid number.

I just hope he sees it coming, and he can;t do anything to stop it. No 'sniped from the other side of the road' crap. It's too good for him! (after what he did to poor Glenn).

This is the guy who killed Glenn? I hope he gets all of his bones broken and spiders eat his face.

He killed him with GLEE. It was gross, death by Zombies would've have been a better option for Glenn.

Yeah this guy, I thin the pay off is going to be this is the ONE death in the suits that EVERYONE will love.

The dude its a disgusting fucker who needs to burn slow, hard, and painfully...

Actually at this point I think Kirkman's out of expendable people whose death will register much of an emotional reaction with the audience. Glenn was the last. The problem is when he kills off characters he's had trouble establishing new ones that the audience cares about enough when the stakes are high.

Abraham was probably the exception to that rule and he got an arrow through the head. :/

the arrow to the head was pretty friggin jarring sadly. And you're right, which is probably why Kirkman is lining up some characters for development.

Like the fake-scientist guy whose name escapes me. He's grew some balls recently (and bit some off) so, he gets points in my book.

Is it heresy to say that Walking Dead Comic should be wound up? I mean are we really progressing anymore or is it just the same thing over and over again?

I think we're getting close to something resembling an end. There has been actual progress with Rick's revelations about rebuilding civilization, and Negan's probably the biggest threat he's faced yet. As opposed to just another ruling town, Negan IS the authority in the region. It's the equivalent of toppling the local warlord.

Well Kirkman has said that he plans to continue indefinitely for the foreseeable future although he has an ending in mind if it comes to it.

Although I agree that in terms of telling a zombie story with the same characters there's only so much you can do without hitting the same road stops.
