Venom was always a favorite villain. He was disturbing looking, mildly insane, and powerful. He had the edge of knowing where the hero sleeps, his family, and a lot of other info stored by the symbiote and countered some of Spidey's powers. He wasn't as Doomsday is to Superman quite, but darn close. Then the zillion symbiote spawn thing happened and the whole schtick got kind of boring. Now, Anti-Venom? And the whole Scorpion thing? Ugh.
