Hi folks, this is my first post here, but I used to follow this community back when it was on Livejournal. :)

I have a big collection of My Little Pony comics, G1 My Little Pony comics, and they are pretty much the most wonderfully cracktastic things ever and I'm REALLY EXCITED about sharing them with you! :D

Also, I think they are orphaned, but I'm not sure. The comics were published by London Editions Ltd., does anyone know if they are still in business?

Anyway, I thought I'd start with an excerpt starring G1 Applejack (from "My Little Pony" #35).

I used to have a massive collection of ponies when I was younger and I actually had a jewel eyed pony and never could figure out why the heck it had jewels for eyes. Now I know the story. It was a pony that went blind from slave labor in a cave until it got jewels blasted into it's eyes. Yaaaaaaaay. D:

Also, on first glance I thought the pony in the second panel was trying to eat the apples that Applejack has on her side.

Very nice first post. I'm looking forward to seeing more. I love older comics like these. When I was younger, I used to occasionally pick up Barbie comics and I wish I still had them because they were just filled with so much crack.

in the current generation they are called crystal ponies (they have jeweled eyes but as Gaga said, they were born that way)

OH, that made me remember that I have a single Barbie comic and it is also cracktastically delightful!

I also have a couple UK Donald Duck comics from the 80s, which are hilarious because all the characters randomly drop British phrases all the time. Like Donald declaring that his nephews' favorite show is "rubbish" or the Beagle Boys complaining about being "pipped at the post". :D

One thing I've never noticed is that the apples in Applejack's symbol aren't consistent at all, are they? They keep changing around every panel.

Well hello, my childhood! I had a G1 Applejack when I was a very small Ni- I made her the knight to my Dream Castle playset.

I didn't have Applejack, but I wanted him. "Him" because I thought he was a boy, and also married to Bow Tie. What can I say, they were standing right by each other on the backcard.
