The "Super Sons" concept was kind of brilliant, really. They have all the iconic (and sales) power of the originals, without having to be so perfect. They can make rookie mistakes, throw tantrums, mack on chicks -- all the stuff their dads never get to do.

I'm improbably amused by what Superman Jr.'s doing to that guy in the first panel. Superman Sr should do that all the time. Seriously, what could Doomsday have done against that? Nothing. You wouldn't have had to die if you just kept spinning your opponent in a circle at super-speed, Clark. You could have gone to the zoo with Lois instead of being DEAD.

This is engagingly loony. I can't decide which is funnier - Batman Jr. casually demanding a kiss, or Supes Jr. shrieking 'AVALANCHE!' Probably the first one, since it's just so incredibly pre-woman's lib.
