I figure once a character's been in a certain costume in a cartoon or movie, like Raven has, that's their costume for good, barring some minor tweaks. This barely even really resembles her old costume, which I think was a perfectly fine look.

Heck, at least here, Trigon is wearing a revealing outfit himeslf (though not so form fitting, but whatevs). But what gets me here is that the redesign targets a very recognizable character (and a fairly popular one to potential readers who've seen the animated versions) and make her very unrecognizable, by comparison.
To me, that just seems counter-productive. The TV shows should be pulling readers IN to comics, not confusing them with versions that are so radically different, IMHO. But since TT is currently one of the best selling comics of the new 52, I guess it doesn't matter.
