But not, sadly in a revived Marvel UK, but in the usual American Marvel.... though at least some British creators are involved.

The crossover is called

"Revolutionary Wars"

Captain Britain, the Knights of Pengdragon, Motormouth, Pete Wisdom, Death's Head, Killpower, Warheads (Would you have guessed that most of these characters were created in the 1990's? I thought you would)

All these covers are by Mark Brooks.

REVOLUTIONARY WAR: ALPHA #1
Part 1 of “Revolutionary War”
• Marvel UK’s greatest heroes come together for the first time in 20 years to face a threat that could destroy the world.
• Featuring Captain Britain, Pete Wisdom, Death’s Head II, Motormouth and Killpower, the Warheads and a host of British heroes.

I'm rather liking seeing Pete back in his "uniform" of black suit, shite whirt and black tie. Whilst the snappy dresser Pete seen in MI-13 and co looked stylish, it did seem to miss the point. He explained (to Douglock of all people) in the Ellis Excalibur run, that his entire wardrobe consisted of a dozen black suits, a dozen white shirts, and a dozen black ties, all identical, because it makes getting dressed in the morning easier, and he really doesn't give a shit about what other people think he looks like. I sort of admired that in him.

REVOLUTIONARY WAR: DARK ANGEL #1
Part 2 of “Revolutionary War”
• When Shevaun Haldane experiences a troubling vision in Darkmoor Castle, she realizes danger may be coming for the heroes of Marvel UK.
• With time running out, Shevaun has no choice but to suit up as Dark Angel once again.
• An adventure that will take fans through the past, present, and future of Marvel UK!

REVOLUTIONARY WAR: KNIGHTS OF PENDRAGON #1
Part 3 of “Revolutionary War”
• A corporate deep-mining setup unearths an old MYS-TECH base, where magical cloning experiments have been taking place.
• What mysteries or monsters are waiting in Britain’s subterranean bones?
• Featuring fan-favorite Marvel UK characters Dai Thomas, Pete Wisdom, and Union Jack!

I liked the MI:13 Captain Britain costume much better.

I have to agree, but at least on this cover he looks like a soldier or athlete rather than a bulked-up Lou Ferrigno in a Fabio wig. I usually love Alan Davis' character designs, but I loathed his Brian Braddock.

Motormouth and Killpower should be fun, they were the only one of the Marvel UK line that had any personality, the rest of it was all 90's extremeyness.

Hopefully since original Death's Head is running around he'll take the opportunity to scrap DH2.

DH2 has always been a guilty pleasure of mine. But I'd have kinda preferred it if they'd never have tied his origin with the original DH, so we could have had both. Most of the stories would have worked as well with an original character.

Also, Knights of Pendragon's original run was a thing of beauty, and I liked it well enough after that too until it went all superhero.

It's a good thing Dark Angel wears the goggles, other wise she might poke herself in the eye!

She better remember not to shrug her shoulders too. Unless she needs to perform an emergency trepanation.

Maybe the spike flips outward like adjustable car mirrors if she clonks herself in the head with it?

Faiza's a Marvel character from UK, not a Marvel UK character. Though neither is Wisdom, IIRC. But still, if this event focuses on the actual UK published Marvel characters then most other characters probably wouldn't get screen time on the covers, at least.

Wisdom had his own mini-series, to be fair. Like Union Jack.

Did Pete's mini come out of Marvel UK? Excalibur wasn't their imprint and he was introduced there in the same year Marvel sold their UK offices, so that wouldn't leave too much time for them to come up with one on this side of the pond.

Oh, I... I don't think so, no. I didn't even know Marvel UK was a thing! Forgive me for not paying attention.

First, can we just appreciate the irony that the American side of Marvel is going to do an event for a bunch of Brit characters and call it "Revolutionary War?" :D

Second, I'm curious about this--I haven't read anything with many of these characters, but I remember having to draw Dark Angel there once for a sketchblog and I really love her look, so I might give it a shot. :)

... is he based on Neil Gaiman?

I remember that bit about having multiple identical copies of an outfit and wearing it every day from Cronenberg's The Fly.

He's based on John Constantine to an extent, but has moved on to to be a character of his own since then.

Good to see Union Jack on a cover. How is he not a regular player in one of the millions of Avengers titles?

Seeing Motormouth and Killpower back makes me very happy. I have an immense fondness for Killpower, just because there was some playfulness with the character and taking the typical 90's muscle bound lunk and making him a literal child with wish fulfilment.
