One Perfect Moment: Saturn Girl vs. Universo

First attempt at posting, so I hope I got it right.

The following pages are from Legion of Super-Heroes Vol. 3 #35 (Jun. 1987), the conclusion of the four-part "Universo Project". Essentially, Universo is doing his old shtick again, taking over the United Planets via hypnotic control. But this time, he's hedged his bets by capturing those heroes that might have the willpower to resist his mind zapping. In the Legion's corner, that includes Dream Girl, Brainiac 5, Chameleon Boy and Saturn Girl (who's retired from the Legion at this point). Universo kidnaps them, makes them amnesiac and sticks them on an alien world.

Saturn Girl - Imra Ardeen - proves a tough nut to crack, as she shrugs off the induced amnesia quite rapidly and sets about freeing her fellow captives. The four Legionnaires make their way back to Earth for a confrontation with the big bad, complicated by the fact that their fellow Legionnaires are under his control. Brainy and the others make a stand at his old lab, and are taken out.

And now it's down to Saturn Girl. And between her and Universo are Ultra Boy and Mon-El, two of the most powerful men in the universe.







Yes, she did. SHE LOOKED AT THEM AND THEY FELL DOWN.

give DC their due they have brought out 2 trades recently of 80's Legion. I suspect they are building up to it
