This one had the guest stars gallor. The Outsders and a time travelling Jonah Hex ( am I the only one that the more they hear about the film version the less they are interested ?) The highlite tho' had to be Lashina leader of the female Furies for sheer Hotness !

Interesting, given the Kirby love this series exemplifies, that A) The Furies were working for Mongal rather than Granny Goodness, though I can see the comparison (even down to Mongul as Darkseid and Mongal being voiced by a guy) and the fact Lashina's appearance was almost pure Bruce Timm rather than Kirby.

I personally think that the furies and Steppenwolf were on vacation from Apokalyps, they saw War World, and decided it might be fun to spend a bit of time there pretending to be gladiatorial slaves.

Also, I want to see the issue where Lashina takes Hex back to Apokalyps so Hex can meet her Granny (with hilarity ensuing).

Oh my god, Mongul's voice does not fit his design. At all. Also, the purple cyclops alien looks a lot like Allen from Invincible, which kinda made me squeal.

I've only watched Brave And The Bold up to the Batman/Joker team-up. I should really watch more.

I was kind of meh about this. I could see Lashina and Stompa working for Mongal - the Furies have always been kind of mercenary about their loyalties. But Steppenwolf willingly acting as a gladiator? Darkseid's uncle? These people are GODS. Come on!

Also Jonah was suitably awesome right until the part where he actually starts flirting back to Lashina - the Jonah Woodson Hex we know doesn't flirt with women: he beds them, sure, but they're the one that do the chasing almost all the time. And he certainly doesn't let them tag along with him without giving them some shit about it first.

So while there were good moments, this one ended up a little meh for me. Which is a shame, because I really like the character of Jonah Hex.

Warworld might be a vacation spot for folks from Apokalips, dangerous, and violent, but not quite as lethal as home, a place to relax, unwind, grind a few people into the ground... and Mongul and Mongal would be walkovers compared to their usual bosses.

Brilliant episode, love how the show manages to make the most random of pairings work, like Atom/Aquaman, Blue Beetle/Huntress and of course here Hex/Lashina. This is going in my personal DC canon stat!
