From "Transformers: Stormbringer #4" by Simon Furman and Don Figueroa. Thunderwing, a massive robot gone crazy after experimenting on himself with a bio-grafting techinque, is rampaging on Cybertron and the Decepticons are this close to just blow up the whole planet just to be done with it. Enter OP:
Grandiloquent speech: check.
Self sacrifice: check.
Serious evil-robot ass-kicking: check.
There you have it, essence of Optimus.
