Three promising images from Convergence Wave three, as posted by Superherohype.

Writer: Marv Wolfman
Artists: Nicola Scott and Marc Deering
Colorist: Jeromy Cox
Titans Together! Fighting against the might of the Tangent Universe’s Doom Patrol, we are reminded why this is the greatest Titans team of all.

I’m not even going to comment on the fact that they managed to fit a glorious buttshott of Disco!wing in the promo image... okay, YES I AM! :D

Writer: Marc Andreyko
Artist: Carlos D’Anda
Colorist: Gabe Eltaeb
After a year under the dome, the Outsiders have gone their separate ways, but when OMAC attacks, Batman must find out if they have what it takes to still be a team.

Always a favourite of mine, well, most of the time… This one has Halo, Katana, Black Lightning, GeoForce, Metmorpho and Looker in it, which really brings back the nostalgia.

Writer: Fabian Nicieza
Artist: ChrisCross
Colorist: Snakebite Cortez
With their heavy hitters sidelined, Elongated Man must lead the much-maligned “Detroit Justice League” against the overwhelming power of the heroes from the Tangent Universe!

Oh yeah, Ralph is back!! As is Vibe with his parachute pants gawdblessim.

Looks like the best of the early '80s to me. Go, Titans! :)

It is required to show a butt shot of Nightwing, oh, yes. :)

You know, almost all of these solits basically say, "Something something dome, something something this guy shows up!"

I'm starting to get the sneaking suspicion these issues are all going to feel awfully repetitive.

Gods help me, this Convergence thingie is really looking... interesting. And by that, I mean a glorious yet ruthless mining of the past in order to stimulate my nostalgia circuits to get my money.

It may just work.

I just hope this isn't a repeat of the Villian single issue stories from a couple Septembers ago where some are readily available while others are in short supply.

There have been many that interest me.

I'll order whichever ones I want in advance, so not worried about that.
I am contemplating whether it's better to get the single issues... or wait for the inevitable collections. I wonder how they'd be packaged. By decade? By week? Alphabetically?

I dunno! Probably by family? All the Titan books together, all the Superman books in another, Justice League titles together and so forth. That was how DC grouped the Flashpoint minis.

I think the problem with the Villains Month issues was the utterly confusing numbering scheme involved, which went into .2's and stuff like that at times. These are more straightforward miniseries replacing the actual series for two months, like the Future's End stuff.

Good point. I forgot about the .1 .2 numbering part that made it so difficult for retailers to order. Then there was the shortage by the printer which lead to the rationing to stores.

Thanks for setting me straight.

At first I thought you wrote "Marv Wolfman writing a certain alcoholic led superteam."

Also, Nicola Scott and the Outsiders sounds interesting, both as separate entities and a potential series pitch.

I don't see Lia in those panels. Could be meant to be the original, pre-Looker, BATO.

Also, nice to see the bunker JLA treated remotely respectfully.\
ETA: Well, it may not be, though. Nice to see it even mentioned, I guess.
