IIRC it's the "Gotham Knights" which has Bruce calling in Barbara for her assessment of Jason's suitability to continue as Robin.

Do you happen to know who wrote it? I'm just curious...
That's too weird.

I think it's Gotham Knights #43 (http://www.comics.org/details.lasso?id=163736) which was written by Scott Beatty

Interesting. I just read something else by him, and now I can't remember what it was. Oh yeah, the intro to that Robin book. Gawd, his blog plays bad 90s pop when you click on it.

Thanks!

He also wrote the NML story with the two idiots wandering through the Joker's lair, unaware of who the owner is.

Oh, yeah. That might have worked if he'd gone from subtle to ... more obvious clues instead of the other way round, and let only the reader see the the clues versus the imbeciles who won't leave a haunted house running smack into a picture of the joker and broken batsignals in plain view and then hanging around.

He's written a bit, like the "Year One" stories for Babsgirl, Dick-As-Robin, Dick-As-Nightwing, that "Wonder Woman: The Ultimate Guide to the Princess" book, Joker: Last Laugh and and he's writing Gen13 at the moment.

Huh. Interesting.

I do hate Babsgirl Year One, though.

Was it because Bruce knew everything about Babs?

It was mostly because (and sistermagpie said this part better than I will) Bruce and Dick were set up as strawmen against Babs. I hated the way both Bruce and Dick were written, the good cop/bad cop stuff, the way it was her against them, and some of Babs' um... I'll call it anti-sexism felt very forced to me.
