Hmm.

Well, I've always had time for Gerry Conway, damn me.

I had planned on waiting for the trade, but I don't know, this looks very tempting.

Wait, what? Evan McCulloch was just fine in Final Crisis: Rogues' Revenge, when did he get trapped in the mirror world? Is this an AU?

...But it's still an AU, right? A what-if?

Because that's such a crappy end for Mirror Master :(

Well, it's a possible future.

From what I can tell, yeah, it's AU until someone says otherwise.

Motto. Particularly because, as Morrison wrote him, McCullough (after his first appearance, anyway) was much more of an anti-villain than the usual completely sociopathic villain type. The man had moral standards. Although he had no problem beating up Buddy as a warning (and rather enjoyed it, too), he balked at killing his wife and children, and when the evil business cabal hired someone else to do so, he tried to warn Buddy, and when he couldn't, he helped him get revenge (and was even shocked at just how far Buddy took it.

Last Days happens in the future? I thought it picked up from his last run.

I didn't realize it was happening in the future either.

Now that I finally got a chance to read the whole thing, I can tell it's in the future...but what a future!

Interesting story, I admit, but gah, the timeline headaches.

I'm guessing that wasn't really Mirror Master, and he's going to teach his daughter some manners, and a lesson in reflections.

kingrockwell: cool times; a man in a black shirt places a blue fedora on his head while throwing a jacket over his shoulder. (Buddy Baker)

Has this gotten good yet? I'm a week late getting to mine because I was out of town. The first issue set some interesting stuff up, but seemed to lack a bite (and it will never not be bizarre to me to see Buddy fight supervillains, but Vertigo series will do that to a guy), so I've been really hoping it would pick up with this issue.

Also I want to see Maxine following in dad's footsteps, so if that doesn't happen by the time this mini is through I might be setting myself up for disappointment anyhow.
