An amusing scene from Yu Yu Hakusho #48.

Yusuke and Kuwabara are invading some rich crime lord's house to rescue a demon girl he has kidnapped. The house is guarded by both ordinary and paranormal guards, providing the ideal opportunity for the kind of long-running sequence of fight scenes that shonen anime thrive on.

It was edited somehow in the english version but was intact in the Japanse. Gave me a good laugh.

My favorite of these adult gags was when Yusuke tried to use the X-ray item Botan gives him to use on Botan and as he's about to she pbashes his head.

That's the thing, I saw the original, mostly unedited (save for nudity) version down here, in Cartoon Network of all places! I just don't remember this scene. @_@

It was in the Rescue Yukina arc, I believe. This crossdresser was one of the demons they had to fight before making it to Togura, or whatever his name was.

Yikes but that's some choppy translating.

I agree with some of the above that what Yusuke means to say is that if Miyuki really wants to be a woman, she should ditch the penis. The translation I originally read was a bit clearer on that point, I recall.

The official translation has her telling him that he's beating on her because she's a transvestite. I kind of read his comments as being that if she's going to fight, she shouldn't be throwing out excuses for why her opponents shouldn't hit her.

Hmm. That's odd, given that in this version she seems to be telling Kuwabara that he doesn't need to go easy on her. I guess the official version has a number of differences to this.

She does both, actually. It's only an implication, but basically she tries to imply that Yuusuke wouldn't have hit her if she wasn't a transvestite. It's weird.

But seriously, I'm not surprised about this behavior...after all, in Naruto, one of the *younger* characters perfected a move where he creates another clone of himsel, and then proceeds to transform himself and his clone into lookalikes of Naruto and Sasuke...and then goes Yaoi. naked. in the middle of the street.

I remember that. Might be worth posting, too - it's not actually crossdressing, but using a Ninja Trick (tm) to disguise yourself as the opposite sex is close enough.

What really always struck me about that scene was how involved they look. The lesbian version of the technique is more obviously intended to entice, with the "women" staring out at their audience. In contrast, "Sai" and "Sasuke" are staring into each others eyes and the way they're positioned is just overall more intimate. /thoughts on yaoi

You're right, it was Sai and Sasuke! And yes, you hit it right on the head about them being more involved...Maybe Konohamaru is acting out some, err, fantasies?

...Which also brings me to the thought of how accomplished Kage Bunshin users deal with what is a very tempting aid for their sex lives...
