Warning for violence.

Then we have a scene where Jim takes with Geri Powers after he nearly messes up a mission.

So I guess this storyline is the only one we're going to see before they start bringing back Bruce Wayne, right? Kind of a pity honestly, I know it's been a highly divisive storyline, but it's grown on me since I've seen pages posted here and at this point I'm planning to get the trade since I'm probably more interested in this that any other part of Snyder's Batman run.

It just seems like such a short run for the character, and I wouldn't have minded seeing more, preferably without the frequent scenes underlining how happy Bruce Wayne is an how oh so tragic it will be when he becomes Batman again.

Movies tend to accelerate these things.....but I have hopes we have at least a year left of plain old Bruce Wayne.

The solicitations for the February issue have Bruce Wayne descending into the Batcave and "confronting his own legacy" or somesuch nonsense, so while that doesn't necessarily mean that he'll immediately go back to being the one true Batman, it does look like Gordon's days in the suit are numbered.

A superconductor in the Island of Stabilty? Weird monster supervillain? They're pushing pretty hard on the SF, aren't they?

Just noting; I already the scenes with Bruce and the stuff from the Batcave being turned into playground equipment here. I didn't post the other, though.

Er, Bruce, maybe don't mount the playing card resembling the man who has tried to murder everyone in the city multiple times on top of the swings if you want kids to use 'em.

I think it's kind-of cute in terms of him turning his back - even if only temporarily - on Batman and thus shunning the admittedly weird nature of a Batman who maintained 'trophies' and the like as mementoes of the times he's succeeded over a man whose body count must lie in somewhere north of the million mark, at this point. And I think it's a neat idea to have him repurpose that trophy as something people don't need to be afraid of, and can have fun with; the Joker would, I imagine, be fuming.

I suppose, but it's the positioning of the damn thing that gets me - just towering above everything with the ghastly grin. It'd have been better if he'd made it a slide or some kind of walkway so that the kids could learn to walk all over their fears.

It's actually good psychology. Kids like to play-confront their tormentors a lot more than adults do.

Other than "posing" what the Hell is Bruce doing on that cover?
