A nice moment of accidental meta, courtesy of the existentially-troubled narrator of 'Berserk':

No, probably not. Chances are it'll look cool, though.

The name "Mammomax" brings to mind those weird body distortion hentai pictures depicting women whose breasts are so huge that they're larger than the rest of their bodies. That, or Dixie Dynamite.

People really seem to dig the Elephant-human hybrid as popularized by Ganesh...except it makes no sense because Ganesh was only a bloodthirsty maniac BEFORE the Gods tore his head off out of desperation. When he got his replacement Elephant head, he became just like that animal - docile, peaceable, and above all wise - the God of Wisdom.

I love Hindu mythology. Not just because it's more visually pleasing than other Religions, but more tranquil and open to free thought. Their supreme god, Vishnu, is god of preservation and allowing things to live and grow. Their gods embrace mercy and compassion as well as devotion and sacrifice. Their afterlife is not a choice between eternal feelings of smug self-satisfaction and kotowing or eternal flame, but a chance to continually be reborn and to change and improve.

When Hanuman is sent to torch an entire city, he thinks "I cannot stand to destroy such beautiful things, even if I must". When Krishna's childhood friend is poor, he has only to visit him and treat him as a friend, and recieves great riches and blessing without having once asked. When Yama god of death tests Vishnu's greatest worshipped by pretending to be of the "untouchable" caste, he is told that Vishnu and the potential for life is present in all living things.

From an (admittedly, rambling) atheistic viewpoint? Hinduism kicks Christianity square in the nuts. Especially the Catholics and the Rightwing Extremist groups. If I didn't have anything else to do in life, I'd probably convert to Hinduism and spend my days doing good in poverty-stricken Sri Lanka, where my roots are.

Not to start a flame war here, but "more visually pleasing than other religions" is purely subjective at best and borders on antagonistic. To say that the imagery in Hinduism is better than that of Celtic paganism, or Norse Asatru faith for example is surely a matter of personal taste. For another example, the image of a serene Shinto temple set against the awesome backdrop of Mount Fuji comes to mind as an example of beauty hard to argue with. Even Catholicism, which you denigrate here, is known for stunning works of art and architecture including the Sistine Chapel which some consider the greatest work of art in known history.

Hinduism is not without it's flaws. The caste system alone is a brutal locked-in class system that provides a religious excuse for keeping the elites in power and the underclasses in their place. It must be nice to have a populace that is indoctrinated to believe that the solution to their oppressed and miserable socioeconomic condition is to die and hope to come back as something better rather than, say, take the French Revolution route instead.

I'm not trying to start an argument with you, but it'd certainly be nice if you consider other people's feelings and beliefs before you trumpet your own as objectively superior.

I'm with this in a lot of ways. I also like that it's just so different looking in general. Elephant headed god, monkey god, a few blue skinned deities, and throw some extra eyes and arms out there! Visually Hinduism is quite stunning and varied. Plus, it has a blood drinking war goddess who stops for babies which amuses me on some odd level.
