Huh. I'm curious as to how closely or not closely this follows the novel.

It's been pretty close so far. It's obviously either going to chop, and/or use the original published version as the basis, not the full version (only going to be 30 issues, after all), but as yet, it's not skipped anything major. It may have cut the post-die-out vignettes of non-major characters, or I may be misremembering when they were put in, and they just haven't gotten to them, yet - the ones before and during the plague are there (or at least some of them are...it's been a few years since I've read the book...)

Randall Flagg is my favorite villain of all time. He's so damn creepy because he acts so friendly. But while he's doing so, he's quietly destroying the person he's acting friendly towards.

And Nick Andros is just cool all over.

Every time I pop by the comic shop, they never have this in stock. It makes me sad. The Stand is my favorite Stephen King book, so I'd love to have the comics of it, too. X3
