So a hidden hospital with good equipment and well trained staff costs tens of millions of dollars a year. And the initial costs would have been presumably somewhere between 50 million and 300 million (I know it's a huge range but I lack details from these scans to do any real calculations).

I'm curious who the "benefactor" is.

I'd guess Norman Osborn but this seems sort of off for him, because Osborn would probably use the hospital to extort other villains and this place seems to simply support the villain community.

Now the Kingpin I can see making the hospital give all criminals equal care simply because it seems like a Kingpin thing to do.

So I'm curious if we find out who's paying the millions upon millions of dollars for this place.

I wonder if it's Stark or another forward thinking hero to save lives (even villain lives), and create jobs.

Maybe it's pooled in by the guys themselves, sort of paying into it from their successful jobs? Like taxes or insurance, but... not as above-board?

I can just imagine how pissed Night Nurse would be seeing this set up.

I was kind of thinking the same thing, and then I looked for the writer and realized it didn't have Slott's name on it.

Oh, and hey, it's not entirely engineered out of resurrecting some old plot point from the 80s/90s runs and then ruining it forever! Even better.
