The Vulture as a cannibal? Okay, I guess but wouldn't it make more sense, at least thematically, to use Michael Morbius or even Vermin in that role? Or even Kraven if sticking to classic Spidey foes.

Though, it wasn't the first time the Vulture was portrayed as such. The 2099 version also liked to snack on unlucky pedestrians.

To be honest, I only know about this because it was part of Spider-man Shattered dimensions, which I played through back when I still had a Gamefly account.

I mainly recall it because Hammerhead was the first boss of the Noir Sections, and he had the most epic boss music ever:

I just love how it goes through this epic industrial sounding boss music with ominous latin chanting in the background, then goes goes into this quick little cartoony digression inbetween.

Also, I think Vulture is supposed to be more of a vampire than a cannibal (since his appearance invokes images of Graf Orlock from Nosferatu, at least he was depicted as being vampire like in the game).

I really enjoyed the Noir levels in that game. Really fun (kind of like Arkham Asylum with the stealth bits) and Christopher Daniel Barnes as Spidey brought back a lot of childhood memories.

Wasn't a big fan of this. Little too off. Like photoshopping heads onto completely different characters. Love the idea, though.

It's my opinion of the Noir line in general—I love the concept and even the character designs, but the stories didn't engage me.

Some of the ideas were great (Aunt May the communist!) but it kind of fell flat in execution.

I dug this mini-series. Though I think the Noir label is a little misleading. It felt more like a Pulp style story than Noir. Most of the other Noir titles felt like Noir. The only other exception was Iron Man Noir, which also felt more Pulp-like.

(Ironically, someone told me Deadpool Pulp felt more Noir.)
