She's basically EmmaFrost without the redeeming qualities or stylish costumes, or a feminie Jason Todd circa Countdown, just incredibly caustic and condescending to everyone with a healthy dollop of Japanese stereotype dumped on top.

Where Infinite Crisis gave us Super-Boy Prime and Final Crisis gave us the Human Flame, COIE gave us Dr. Light. Each one is the embodiment of everything bad that happened in heir event (although, in the Flame's case, literally).

The character is, like Hush or Dark Mary Marvel, just painful to look at and annoying to read and I wish they'd bloody well kill her off already. In Blackest Night, hopefully.

She needs somebody to pick her up and write her consistently for some notable length of time. If absolutely nothing else, she's one of the only Japanese heroines in the DCU who isn't some manner of martial artist, samurai, or blatant national symbol.

the characters you list all have something malicious about them. Dr. Light is smart. And she knows she's smart so she's arrogant and serious about things from what I gathered.
