I love that their attempt to pander is five years out of date but it's all those diversity legacy heroes that are holding them back. Sure, keep telling yourselves that.

Good point. He is not actually using any powers is he? Just making his fists looking like the Things, which any Skrull can do. Might be that imitating a ore powerful combatant is a standard Skrull intimidation move.

Super-Skrull is even stronger than the Thing, and Ben would hardly notice the van here.

yeah i think the point they were trying to make was that yeah, it's not a weird thing, but not common either, and they were commenting on what seemed like the "check off a minority" nature of the team, which also kind bothers me. also me not liking Clint right now.

We must have been watching two different Extreme Ghostbustes because the couple episodes I saw were mediocre at best. And the theme song was terrible IMO. It might just be a generational thing but it didn't grab me, like MLP or One Piece. You get hardcore fans that other people look upon with bewildered stares. I get a similar reaction when I tell people I love Kate Bush.

I'm sorry, but it sounds like you didn't watch the show at all. Heck, a lot of GB fans a potential sequel to the original continuity would take elements from the show. The older Ghostbusters training the next generation, passing of the torch, that sorta thing.

So I wake up this morning and I find six(!) replies from you, original and otherwise. You're so...passionate about responding to me I suppose I should feel, I dunno, flattered at all your attention?

To respond to your queries, considering the small size of the super hero community that many kid geniuses is a lot. You didn't take into account the Wasp's girl group, GIRL. Amadeus Cho is, in fact, a mutant, whose power was to gain super genius intellect when he ate junk food. And as I said, I only watched a couple episodes of Extreme Ghostbusters. Considering how it's been years since I saw the show and how it left very little impression on my mind other than that atrocious theme then I think I can be excused if I don't seem to be as well versed in the nuances of the program as you, who were obviously a fan.

Finally, I wasn't "bothered" by it; I was amused by the writer trying to show how socially aware he was by providing Hawkeye with such a diverse group of sidekicks. The Native American was even showing off his Native American-ness with his accoutrements so we the reader could not in any way, shape or form mistake him for being what he was. It smacks of virtue signalling.

I think, for now on, every time you respond to one of my posts, if I do bother to reply at all I'm just going to respond in turn with the joy of music. Welcome to the terrordome, Hood. ;)

You forget i was reply to your replies towards me, but whatever. Just like i'm doing now i guess. I'm not sure why it surprises i would reply to your replies.

And they weren't sidekicks, they were Clint's team and in the beginning it was just Clint and Red Wolf, then Clint, Red Wolf and Nightshade. It's not as forced as you make it seem. The group got bigger gradually and rather naturally.

And Nadia's G.I.R.L. group are all regular girls, besides Nadia herself anyway. As for Amadeus, i'm still not seeing anything that says he's a mutant, not in the X-Men sense.

And the EGB intro, Jim Cummings vocals were pretty nice.

PS: I love Public Enemy, so thank you and i mean that sincerely.

First of all, glad you enjoyed the song. I'm not a huge Public Enemy fan but I think 'Terrordome and Bring The Noise are pretty good songs.

And second, I think we're just going to but heads on these issues, especially where Cho and the girl geniuses are concerned and what constitutes a "genius", at least by Marvel definition. And whether or not Cho is a mutant. I think we're just going to have to agree to disagree.

i'm sorry... I still don't like Clint right now... he killed Bruce and now he's a hard line "we don't kill... it doesn't matter that i slaughtered a bunch of these things during a war, and for all i know they could be sleeper agents, but it's cool. i am an evolved white guy traveling around with a black sexually liberated woman and a not so stoic native American, and another white kid... Bruce banner, one of my dearest friends, deserved to die, despite the fact that he showed no signs of transforming into the hulk, OR even showing that he wasn't in control of the Hulk, which he has been for some time..."

my race comment? I just meant that the book feels like it's "checking off" minority characters and that feels problematic to me.

that feeling persists knowing that other guy wasn't a kid, but a disabled character apparently... all lead by an able bodied white guy... it feels uncomfortable.

sorry if i didn't make that clear.
