Ultimatum was horrible, the deaths were needless, bla bla bla. That said, this two page spread from Ultimatum X-Men Requiem is both gorgeous and infuriating.





Ok, I recognize Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Beast, Xavier, Angel, Juggernaut and Dazzler. Not entirely sure about the rest though.

Seriously, the image of all those bodies, peacefully laid out before burial really tugs at the heart. Shame they're all dead long before they should be.

Also, it cracks me up that Scott doesn't get a suit, but is buried in his X-Men uniform.

Top row, second from right is Lorna Dane. Or at least that's what I think since it looks like her hair is green.

I was thinking that might be her, but there's really no telling with Ultimate X-Men related stuff. As much as I like this image, the book was pretty much a mess before it ended.

She was one of the casualties; the guy on her left would be Sunspot, who was also killed at the Academy of Tomorrow. The lady next to Professor X would be Emma Frost.
