Uh-oh! Krypto and Streaky are about to get neutered.

Finally a good use for Batman's stash of gold K.

Hearing about this development, Comet the Super-Hero vanishes for a long while.

"Trees. I'll watch her behind trees," Comet mutters, as he adds to his notes feverishly, with a series of stamps on the ground.

Considering that normal cats bring home mice and squirrels, streaky must bring home giraffes and dinosaurs from monster island.

I had a cat who would put them on your pillow. She never did understand that a mint would have been preferable.

The art is very good, but the story is not even funny. A dog chasing a postman, a cat chasing a plane because it has a mouse painted on it? Ugh... What's the next awesome gag? Supergirl silding on a banana peel or getting a creampie in the face?

I dunno, I find it funny enough and the cute just makes it 100 times better. I mean, Streaky's face the other issue when he's staring down the mouse on the wing? That's priceless.

Krypto gleefully rolling around on the wing is the best panel ever.

Streaky chasing a picture of a cartoon is pretty weak for something that has to hold up over several weeks, but that last panel with Steaky and Krypto in full "I WUV YOU, Supergirl" mode makes it better. You know she's going stop being mad before they even get off the runway.

The art is what clinches this. I find the pacing sluggish; it could be more hectic for better effect. But it's hard to get that feeling of whimsy in expressions and body language (even more so for animals) and this captures it well.

It's actually fairly fast pacing for a newspaper strip.

As usual Amanda Conner's art is pure love.

And hey, considering how in the Silver Age the Super Pets would go after anything even vaguely resembling something the stereotype demands they chase, I can buy Streaky's over-the-top attempt at hunting here.

This is thoroughly adorable. I love all the little doggy/kitty moments - especially Krypto's 'dog with his head out the window' moment on the wing, and his subsequent begging for a tummy rub. A close second is Streaky's proud 'Prrrt?' upon delivering a giant cartoon mouse to his mistress, and the pair of them going 'we is GOOD li'l petsies, ain't we, Supergirl?' in the last panel. Given some of the chaos that NORMAL pets get into and then try to pass things off as business as usual, I could definitely see things playing out this way - I half expected Krypto to rip off the 'Daily Planet' sign and go 'let's play fetch!'

What I love:

Every panel of Krypto on the wing.

Streaky's little, 'but-i-LOVE-you-prrrrt?'

Supergirl and Streaky glaring at each other under the title.
