"According to your previous comments, you don't like when any two same-sex characters are shipped if the characters aren't already officially established as being gay. Am I correct?"

Correct.

"If slash bothers you so much, you probably shouldn't be on this comm."

I shouldn't be here if I don't like slash fan-fic? I'm here because I am a comic book fan. Being a fan of slash is not a requirement.

The profile for the original scans_daily, and I don't see why the same wouldn't apply here, said "This community is slash-friendly. If you're uncomfortable with same-sex relationships and discussion of same, this may not be the community for you."

I'm not uncomfortable with gay characters and same-sex relationships. I have no problem with actual gay characters, who are with consenting adults. Comic book characters should not all be heterosexual. That's like saying they should all be white. Leave those characters who were firmly established as heterosexual to remain so, since, much as the Right Wing would like to think otherwise, gays are born gay, you don't become gay. Creators can create new characters that are gay. John Byrne created NorthStar who is gay and Maggie Sawyer who is gay, Pied Piper was an existing character who was never established as heterosexual so William Messner-Loebs gave the Pied Piper a sexual identity as gay, Greg Rucka's Kate Kane Batwoman is gay and Renee Montoya is gay, Alan Moore's Hooded Justice, Captain Metropolis and Jetman are gay, Peter Milligan's Phat and Vivisector are gay, Allan Heinberg's Hulkling and Wiccan are gay.

You complaining whenever someone ships Batman and Superman, even jokingly, makes me think otherwise.

And slash usually involves characters who aren't officially gay in their series' canon.

Batman and Superman are not gay characters. In the case of these here comic books, we are intimately acquainted with the lives of the characters. Unlike our real world friends and co-workers, we can even "hear" their thoughts.
