So, after gathering up my pulls this week, I noticed I had a couple bucks to spare. I'd been thinking about picking up Blackest Night: Superman, but man, with Pet Avengers over I needed something fun. Then I had a better thought.
4 pages from MA: Avengers #39

I cannot remember the last time I bought a comic book and was immediately so pleased that I did as soon as I read the first page. It's Rhino on the phone. The Leader and Abomination have coerced him into helping them break up an army base to get some satellite codes.

After Spidey and Tigra use their resources to break open the case, everyone splits up to take the bad guys down. Bringing Rhino in falls to Tigra, but it ends up easier than it might've sounded on paper.

Now, she's got every right to get mad at the unfortunate implications there, but Tigra's a trooper. I guess you go easy on the guys when they're practically surrendering.

Ultimately, all I can say is Marvel Adventures, where have I been all your life?
This is great stuff, see my childhood heroes actually acting heroic for a change and being fun and funny at the same time? They actually made Spidey smart again! They use excellent teamwork! Everyone is useful! Oh, I need to play around with my pull list and see what I can't work out here on a regular basis!

I only wish I'd had enough space to post the Cannonball Special: Luke Cage Variant. Anyone else want it? (please say yes)
Does anyone know if they've released any trades, or am I jut gonna have to track down the 38 previous issues individually?

There is no Marvel universe but the Marvel Adventures Universe.

I can keep pretending that, right?

I actually have more icons of Marvel characters than Marvel books I buy each month. Other than Cap Reborn I could not possibly care less about 616.

Yeah, I used to be a big Marvel fan, but then the amount of books I read by them started dropping like flies. Now the only Marvel things I read are... The Stand's comic-ization, the Dark Tower side-stories, and Marvel Adventures. Nothing involving 616 at all.

Yup, I used to read around 10-15 Marvel titles. Now I'm down only to Marvel Adventures: Avengers and Superheroes.
