Oh man oh man oh man!
May. 23rd, 2009 10:42 pmI just got the best book. I just got the best collection of many pages that are held together between two covers. I own many books but this is the one I'm posting about today. Come enjoy it with me.

They have other problems, too! What kind of problems, Ollie?

You forgot her birthday?! Oh, Ollie, you're horrible, but at least you're trying!
(i scanned the context for this one because it is adorable)

(see?)
What, you mean you didn't forget? So what happened?

Oh poor Ollie! You were so ashamed of losing the picture you told her you forgot? I'm so sorry! What do you make of this new development, Dinah?

You're having Jimmy Olsen make a new one? How sweet!

These guys really like giving each other presents! And Dinah sure receives 'em graciously!
(It's interesting how there's no subservience implied in that bow, just a polite way to say "hello" and acknowledge a friendship. Whether in the context of the book it's a good thing to teach kids politeness on equal planes or a disservice to teach them words without the proper connotations the word carries (like when i first learned the word "buxom" my pocket dictionary defined it as "pleasantly plump", so i took it as a polite word for a fat person and used it that way!), I can't quite decide.)
What else do you have for us, Super Dictionary?
Batman being a dick?

Check.

I can't decide if the best part of this is how goofy Hawkman looks or Atom hiding in his sandwich!
(is he spying for Batman?)

Robin will do anything for Batman...

...But he never said he'd do it happily! (sorry about the giant flea that apparently snuck in my scanner!)

I can't say anything to make this one better. It's too much on its own.

Look how much Babs isn't enjoying her own party! I bet none of those people are really her friends!
(And is it just me or is she totally a re-colored Catwoman there?)
I leave you with Jimmy Olsen and one of my favorite words.

And where did you get that Kyle Katarn icon? It's amazing.

My best guess as to what's happening there is that when you leave Kyle alone for a little while with a gun in his hand, he goes into an idle animation. With a laser sword... well, see for yourself.

(Or I'm twisted. You decide!)

Hawkman looks so goofy!
"ANYTHING"
Robin's crazy to fight Hulk.
Hulk is strongest there is!!!
It is not smart to fight Hulk.
Fighting Hulk for Batman is insane.
Re: "ANYTHING"
Robin fights for Batman because he has a crush on him. Robin has romantic feelings for him.
RE: Hulk
You have what I look for....
Re: RE: Hulk
It just takes tenacity! If you really want it and are lucky enough, you can get it for under $30 (hell, i almost paid only $6 until another bidder strolled in at literally the very last minute)!

Oh and let's hope the kid who tore the painting was not shot by Ollie, because, GRRRR, he has angggggrrrr issues.

To say nothing of the El Dragon. ;-)

Also, Ollie totally shot the painting kid.

Also, Carter's face is the best thing about the Sandwich one, no doubt.

A close second is the 'bow' one "I bend over to thank you nicely." Wow. I don't usually have a particularly smutty mind when it comes to this sort of thing, but considering that this is coming from a beautiful blonde in leather and fishnets...

You are correct. That image is from the first in a (Pre-Crisis) four-issue arc of Batman in which four villains were tried by a court of their peers to determine which one had killed Batman. In the original image, Catwoman is removing a black veil she very dramatically wore to court to indicate mourning.
Something bizarre
Re: Something bizarre
Thanks for the heads up, I'll get right to fixing it!

That's not one of the options, Miss Canary.
