Date: 2009-08-31 10:41 am (UTC)It has always been a source of some mystery to me that vampires are as feared as they often seem to be, given that their weaknesses are so incredibly well-publicized. All you have to do is eat lots of garlic, keep a symbol of whatever faith you subscribe to on your person (I wonder if Pastafarianism, would qualify?), and stay within easy access of running water whenever possible. Oh, and don't go out alone after dark (which is a good policy anyway), and never invite tall, pale-skinned, pointy-toothed strangers into your home. (Oh, and if possible, live in a house with a picket fence.)
And I LIKE that the shapeshifting abilities of the vampire are being exploited properly there. That's the first time I've seen a vampire being shown as a sort of werebat, but it works.
