It's Winnick's first story arc in Green Arrow/Black Canary.

Confusion is required at the front door.

Huh. Random lesbians. They must be desparate to sell this book.

Still, yay for Dinah being kind of competent!

What did I???

Just what no. Man.

This comic had so little promise. How dare they squander it completely.

Why is Bill Sienkiewicz credited on the cover?

Cupid should get a place in Gotham with Harley Quinn, they'd be perfect together. They're basically the same character, even down to using a name derived from a male fictional character associated with love.

I was hoping to see Harley/Haley go somewhere, but they seem to actually just be roommates.

During the mission to rescue Ollie, Mia was concerned that Connor was taking too long to signal herself and Dinah. She got antsy and kept looking for excuses to get away from "Athena" (a disguised Granny Goodness). One excuse was "I, er, need the ladies' room." Granny obviously wasn't going to let Mia out of her sight, so...

I LIKED the random lesbians! They were adorable!

It is, however, probably bad that I found their story more interesting than the one ABOUT THE SUPERHEROES WITH THEIR NAMES ON THE COVER.

Well, it's nice that they're flipping the "top billing" every issue or so. I didn't want it to be featuring Dinah as a secondary story, because honestly.

Motto. When the random lesbians are more interesting than Black Canary than something is seriously wrong. And Cupid may be one of the most annoying villians ever.

Yeah, who would've thought a book would go downhill when Judd Winick left?

Sadly, I must motto your reaction.

(Also, why are the police busy chasing Cupid/Black Canary, instead of dealing with the supervillain who just blew up the prison?)

I don't think it was ever proven in the first place... does anyone have the scans from Countdown? as of Gotham City Sirens, Harley and Holly are still sharing an apartment, but I don't think anything has actually been confirmed, despite how awesome their relationship would be.

Well, I don't know that it's automatically bad that they're more interesting than the superheroes with their names on the cover, but it's certainly bad that they're more sympathetic than the superheroes with their names on the cover, particularly when the contrast comes in from the titular superhero being an outright douche to the random lesbians in question (as well as the friendly cops trying to do their jobs).

Holly had a perfectly awesome girlfriend already, though, and Harley's got whatever she's got with Ivy, not to mention that she'll probably never genuinely be over the Joker. I can't see where there'd be a purpose in it for Harley, and it'd certainly be arbitrarily unkind to Holly.

Wait, is that actual teamwork in Kreisberg GABC? As in, ' you protect the target, I'll take down the baddie.' kind of practical teamwork? With Dinah explaining her reasoning to the authorities, albeit after the fact?

That is a surprising level of not-total-fail.
