Truly, Geoff Johns writes like a story conference. Sometimes he'll have good ideas for character motivation and suchlike...but rather than have characters talking to each other like people and revealing their personality through their actions, they just stand there and exposit motivations at one another.

	Wouldn't it be great if it was Dove? Although I don't think the white light is going to be contained or managed by a ring. It's more primal than that. 	sometimes the predictable is a good thing. I think they once said on Monty Python "there is equal humor in the conventional" That can apply to anything if the base idea is good. 	Hal's costume does that all by itself. Seriously, as police uniforms go it's not that respect-inducing. Suppose a cop pulled you over wearing Speedos. Granted, you'd go to jail for laughing, but it would seem worth it.
