Greetings True Believers! I got four scans from (Dark) Wolverine #78. It features Daken doing what he does best. Being a dick. He's much better at being a dick then he is at being an avenger.


Footage of Daken killing terrorists/bank robbers and insulting bystanders has been leaked on the net. Osborn goes on damage control and tracks the leak to the wife of a journalist who has a connection of her own......Spoilers and enjoy!

Daken you dick! So Daken leaked the footage himself. Why? In an effort to clean up his image, Norman puts together a group of c-list villains that he breaks out jail so Daken can defeat them.

Funny thing I thought of, Wolvie is a mad-man berzerker type while Daken is being painted as more urbane Hannibal Lecterish psycho. I can see Logan sitting in a recliner, wearing a flannel shirt and drinking beer while Daken leans against a piano in a nice suit drinking sherry. By comparison Logan looks like a choirboy ... maybe that's what Marvel is going for. Kinda of like Venom Spider and Azrael Batman, readers are given a more extreme - and distasteful - version of the character in order to make them like/appreciate the original better. Of course on the other end you have X-23 who is clearly the best of the bunch (IMO).

Is there a particular reason Daken arranged to have his bed buddy offed? Other than just to see if he could?

*raises hand* The Azrael version of Batman technically shouldn't count, as he was partially created due to the demands of the fans at the time, who wanted a more EXTREME version of the character who was more like the Punisher, Venom etc.

AzBats, in all his ugly costumed psychopathic glory, was DC's response to these demands. Namely "You want a darker, more Cable-ish version of Batman, well here he is!"

1) Oh god. The excessive fanservice, the boobs flying majestically as she leaps to her death, even the name, Bunny. I find this whole scene incredibly sleazy and off-putting, like I stumbled across a snuff fic or something.

2) That's a pretty dumb murder plan. What if she'd kept her cool and made it across the street?

"Uh... hi, honey! That was pretty badass how you dodged the bus like that. But, uh, listen, now we've got to run back across the street the other way. You first."

3) That is s stone cold, hardcore little old lady. If I ever saw someone be horribly killed by being hit by a bus, I'd like to think it would take me more than half a second to switch gears and be effusively appreciative about someone handing me my forgotten purse wallet.

Dakan is seriously the sleaziest person in comics right now. He's such an unbelievable asshole that the whole creepy vibe of that death scene just matches his personality so well.

I really want Wolvering to kick his ass when Dark Reing ends and tell him that's a huge dick and he looks like chode with his two claws.

Slightly offtopic but if people would care to remember the Amalgam Universe where among other fusions there was Darkclaw who was a combination of Batman and Wolverine. Well both parts of that fusion recently had annoying sons that no one knew about show up. Does this mean that Daken and Damian are cross-universe brothers?

All I can think is how the hell does that dressing room work. What kind of lingerie store only has a curtain with one full open side where the salesperson just stares at you as you try on garments?

Also, isn't their a rule about not trying on store underwear without wearing your own underwear underneath? I mean, no one wants underwear that's been all up in some strangers hoohah (well...maybe some people, but not most). If just trying it on is a common practice I'm never going to buy anything that isn't the nice, inexpensive packaged Hanes underoos every again.
