I can't express how much I love the current Thor titles. One of the things I love the most is the interesting human characters interacting with the Gods of Asgard.

One of those humans is Pastor Mike; according to Volstagg his full title is Pastor Mike the Wee, Small Friend of Jesus.

A small town preacher finds his destiny.

Bonus: Norrin Radd has no need for your primitive Earth-pants!

I love Walter Simonson's run on The Mighty Thor. One of my favorite bits is the work he did with Volstagg.

While there is much love for the Simonson and JMS runs of Thor (justified) there have been other runs which I feel affection for. Such as Len Wein's.

Hello one and all! This is my first post to scans_daily, so I hope I don't mess this up too much. =\

For One Perfect Moment week, I remembered one such moment of Thor in particular, where the man has no more than thirty seconds to save the day - and does so, with style.

For your consideration, Journey into Mystery (with The Mighty Thor), no. 113, "told with gusto by" Stan Lee and "drawn with grandeur" by Jack Kirby.

( No, really, that's what they're credited as. )

It's 5 and 1/6 pages out of an 16-page issue, incidentally.
