The answer's pretty simple: there would be much awesomeness. I can't even remember how I came across this, but the moment I did, I knew I'd be sharing it here. So here we have 9 scans from What If #10 (35 pages). This is my first post here, so please let me know if I've erred anywhere. I also uploaded these using image shack, but I'm not sure what the limits are there, so if they disappear or if there's a better place to upload, please let me know that too.

Warning: This is pretty image-heavy. Also, some ableist language is used in the comic itself.

After Solve Everything and the Prime Elements arcs, Dale Eaglesham left Fantastic Four, passing Steve Epting as he moved on to some Captain America stuff. Now, Eaglesham's work on Fantastic Four was amazing. It was reminiscent of the Jack Kirby stuff in terms of figure work and the over-the-top style.

Wouldn't it be great if Eaglesham could draw a retro Fantastic Four book? It could be like Iron Man Legacy or Batman Confidential, but for Fantastic Four. I would buy loads of them.

But, Eaglesham sort of has drawn a retro Fantastic Four book, thanks to two staples of the Marvel Universe - ( Secret Origins ) ( and What If )

In Grim Hunt, Spidey turned down killing the recently resurrected Kraven (although it would have been more of a mercy-killing as Kraven was in a state of eternal suffering that could only be ended with Spidey killing him, but whatever) based on the psychic premonitions of the new Madame Web. More on that later.

The recent What If issue asks...what if Peter did kill Kraven? What would happen?

Sounds pretty darn cosmic to me.

However, most of the time, he just wants the cash, yes?

I've already used the X-Men's "Asgardian War" storyarc as an example of best friendship between Warlock and Cypher. And here it is again, as a springboard for perhaps my favourite "What it...?" world.

The cover alone convinced me! :D

At the end of the Asgardian Wars Loki gave the X-Men and New Mutants a choice, stay in Asgard and keep all that they had achieved there, all the new lives and new loves they had found, and in the case of Storm, powers returned to her, or return to Earth as they had been before they arrived; Storm would be powerless, Magma would be human instead of the elf-form the elven folk had curssed her with, and so on (The only exception he made, out of ~~narrative necessity~~ courtesy, was that Karma would NOT be returned to the grotesquely obese form her time under the control of the Shadow King had given her). The choice HAD to be unanimous though

Of course, in the mainstream MU, the choice to return to was made, but this IS a "What if...?"

One Perfect Moment: Elektra (sort of)

What If: Daredevil vs. Elektra came out at the tail end of last year. In this What If...?, Matt manages to save Elektra's father from the terrorist attack that would've otherwise killed him, but an overzealous police sniper outside shoots Matt through the head a second later.

Elektra, with her father still in her life, grows up to become an agent of SHIELD. Matt, who becomes posthumously famous for being unthinkably amazing for a blind kid, is buried with honors... and the Hand promptly steals his body.

Years later, the Hand has a new leader who they call the Advocate, and people who oppose it are turning up dead and decapitated across the world. Elektra finds herself in a unique position to stop the Hand, but she can't do it alone.

This will read much better if you have extremely melodramatic music playing.

Before he nullified his universe, though, he'd made sure to remove every possible obstacle that could impede him; to that end, he'd cosmically exiled that universe's Doctor Strange, Silver Surfer, and Phoenix.

So, unless I'm totally off the mark, the point of What If stories is that for each one, there's a definite spot in time where the timelines diverge, right? Meaning that everything that came before that point in time is the same, yes? So, for the What If of World War Hulk, everything that's already been established as canonly happening prior is still the same, isn't it?

Given that it's Doom week and I've kinda wanted to post this for some time and it also has cross dimensional spawn and fun What if ness all packed into one I bring scans daily 10 pages (from a 32 page comic) about What if...the people who were abducted by the Beyonder stayed on Battleworld for 25 years and had to co-exist, unable to return home to Earth?

It's also one of my favorite if not THE one What If I've always wanted to see continued, especially given that it's ending lends itself to that...
