Tumblr artist Mike Lunsford recently made the Huffington Post for his redesigns of iconic Superheroines with costumes that were functional, recognisable, stylish...and fully-covered.
( Behold! Trousers, Leggings and Blouses! )
( 'Generally, I find something to hit. Something mythological, preferably.' )
...or was she really there to begin with? Surely Poison Ivy would remember a foe she's fought! And speaking of Ivy...what other deck of cards is she playing?
( 4 pages of 'what the fuck did I just read?' D: )
Hope you're all for some more Heroes! because it would be too late otherwise, as you're reading these very lines I've already posted this new subject!
This week a commissioned comic and some more strips!
( Dr Lights like you've never seen, Ted and Babs digitally date and T-Ray's back to annoy Deadpool! )
Among the positives of 2011...I guess rejoining this comm after my two year hiatus from it. I was originally a member of the LJ comm before it got flushed by the LJ Gods, and was mostly active there in 2007-2008 (around the time I actually got into mainstream comics). Admittedly I was reluctant to rejoin this comm at first since I noticed things were a bit...well *different* from the original LJ version, but after being here the last couple of months, I gotta say it's been worth it. :}
Comics-wise? Heh...honestly? I've only read three titles that were published this year prior to the relaunch: Power Girl, Gotham City Sirens, and Birds of Prey Vol. 2; all of them being girl-leading books. (You are all now free to tell me I've missed out on a lot. I've had one person tell me that already). :P
All three books were okay this year. Admittedly I felt Power Girl's book was better under the Jimmy Palmiotti/Amanda Conner team since they captured the character's wit and essence beautifully while bringing a sense of fun to the book. It was certainly a nice change of pace from the grim and gritty books I was accustomed to reading. Under Judd Winick...the book had its moments but didn't have the same flavour from the previous run. :(
So now I wrap up this post (and the last remaining hours of the year) with my favourite BOP scene of 2011!!!! :D
( Is there booze? Oh yes. Epic fun? Most definitely. Naked beefcakey men? Haha, you'll have to click and see! ;) )
As the saying goes...HAPPY NEW YEAR PEEPS! ;)
( He was actually surprised the BatCat sex scene was more controversial than he thought it would be )
( But then, back in 1990, DC got away with this... )
Warning for sex and nudity. NSFW.
This week I'd like to show you gals and guys a bit of each of my strips series so far.
(so I can finally move on what I call season 2, this year's comics, the current ones in fact)
5 times the shenanigans!
So without further redo, here's some more Heroes! for everyone's tastes and colors!
( Guy makes some poesy, Ollie tries to flee his duties, Squirrel Girl is not amused and yet another adventure of Booster Gold and Blue Beetle! )
